Il 24 agosto 2016 alle ore 3:36 un sisma di magnitudo 6.0 colpisce il centro Italia con epicentro situato lungo la Valle del Tronto, tra i comuni di Accumoli (RI) e Arquata del Tronto (AP). Il 26 ottobre due potenti repliche di magnitudo 5,4 e 5,9 si abbattono sui luoghi già martoriati in precedenza. Il 30 ottobre la scossa più forte, di mgnitudo 6,5 con epicentro tra i comuni di Norcia e Preci, in provincia di Perugia. Il V.V.A fin da subito è sui luoghi del disatro, raggiunti entro le prime luci dell'alba con la Colonna Mobile Regionale del Coordianamento FE.PI.VOL., di cui fa parte. Ci rimarrà fino al luglio 2017, prima partecipando alla gestione del campo di accoglienza di Illica (Accumoli) e in seguito al campo mensa di Torrita di Amatrice, dove si avvicenderà con le altre Associazioni del Coordinamento con turni settimanali a cadenza mensile.
Il campo mensa di Torrita, ad esclusiva gestione del Coordinamento FE.PI.VOL., serviva in media 600 pasti al giorno e il servizio, dal magazzino alla preparzione dei pasti, dalla segreteria alla logistica e manutenzione, era garantito solo da personale volontario.

On October 30, the strongest shock, of magnitude 6.5 with epicenter between the municipalities of Norcia and Preci, in the province of Perugia. The V.V.A is immediately on the places of disatro, reached in the early hours with the Regional Mobile Column of the Coordination FE.PI.VOL., which is part. The Torrita camp, exclusively managed by the FE.PI.VOL. Coordination, produced an average of 600 meals a day and the service, from stock to meal preparation, from the secretariat to logistics and maintenance, was guaranteed only by volunteers.
